In 2012, a Tibetan exile ran by speakers at rally in New Delhi after self-immolating in protest over upcoming visit by Chinese President Hu Jintao

A Tibetan student, Lhamo Tashi, burned himself to death last week in the western province of Gansu to protest continued Chinese rule In what is reported to be the first self-immolation in five months, Tashi set himself on fire in front of a police station last Wednesday, New York Times reports.

The twenty-two-year-old shouted slogans before dying of his injuries.
