Four suspected female child traffickers have been nabbed at Ogidi, Idemili North local government area of Anambra State, for their alleged involvement in the stealing, selling and buying of a two-month old baby girl for N625,000. The baby was reportedly stolen from her mother at Nnewi area of the state by three of the suspects, who sold her to one of the suspects. EBOLA OUTBREAK: DEATH TOLL RISES ABOVE 9000

The death toll for the current Ebola outbreak has now risen above 9,000, the World Health Organization (WHO) has said. The WHO stated on Friday, February 6, that 9,004 people had died from the disease while 22,525 confirmed cases had been recorded. 

BOKO HARAM: CHADIAN SOLDIERS KILL 13 TERRORIST IN BORNO

Chadian soldiers have reportedly killed 13 Boko Haram members in Borno State. The terrorists launched an attack on Gamboru, a town on the border with Cameroon, but were repelled by the soldiers, Reuters reports. One Chadian soldier was also reportedly killed in the attack, which occurred early on Wednesday, February 11, “We were waiting. The battle didn't last long. They fled,” a military source told Reuters.2,500 Chadian soldiers have been deployed to help in the fight against Boko Haram in Nigeria and Cameroon.
