A Tibetan student, Lhamo Tashi, burned himself to death last week in the western province of Gansu to protest continued Chinese rule In what is reported to be the first self-immolation in five months, Tashi set himself on fire in front of a police station last Wednesday, New York Times reports.
The twenty-two-year-old shouted slogans before dying of his injuries.
Student Pulse gathered that the police seized his body and cremated it despite contrary request from the family.
