A former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has promised the people of Kaduna State that there would be free education from primary school to junior secondary school if he is elected as the governor of the state. The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a suspected kidnapper, Mr. Anthony Agidi, for allegedly belonging to a gang which abducted a female bank worker, Mrs. Ladi Garba, in July this year. source learnt that the abduction of Garba was one out of eight operations which the gang had carried out in Delta and Lagos states. According to the police, Garba was an employee of Keystone Bank when she was kidnapped by the gang in the Lekki area of Lagos. A protective knife worn around a baby’s neck to ward off evil spirits was a source of harm to the baby instead of protecting him. The six-month-old baby, Dev Thakor, swallowed the knife by accident while he was feeding from her mum breast. Dev had been wearing the knife on a string around his neck as a local tradition in India.
