CITY FM BAGS FOUR AWARDS IN THREE WEEKS!!!


On the 15 of November, 2014, the lifestyle station beat 26 other radio stations in the same category at the Nigeria Broadcasters Merit Awards, (NBMA), to win the “Best Radio Station In Lagos” as recognition to service delivery and strong listenership. Some of their On-Air personalities also got nominations as Nigeria Broadcaster of The Year (Male and Female category), Sexiest on Air Personality as well as the Outstanding Radio Program Presenters of The Year.

Meanwhile, barely a week after winning this award, City FM 105.1 was again recognized as the “Fast Rising Radio Station Of The Year”, from the Nigeria Model Achievers’ Award (NMAA).
To add another feather to their cap earlier this week, the Heritage Awards accorded the lifestyle station the “Outstanding Station Of The Year” while Star Brand Merit Awards named the Ikeja-based radio station, the “Best Media Support In Radio” City FM Managing Director, Doja Allen, expressed her joy towards this success and also dedicated the award to the listeners and lovers of City FM.  She said if listeners did not enjoy the various programmes of the radio station, they would not have voted City FM as Best Radio Station, which means the management and members of staff are doing something right.
Also, according to the Chief Executive Officer of Mic Dunamis Global Concept, Don Mike Igbe, NMAA decided to celebrate the unusual creativity and good service delivery which CITY FM stands for.
Veteran broadcaster Dan Foster, also joined the winning team this year in addition to the other OAP’s and from the breakfast show to the late night show, City FM continues to offer unique content to its listeners without relenting in their quality of service delivery. The radio station is set to end the year with their first family funfair show slated for December 25 – 28 and tagged “Praise In The City.
