BRIDE-TO- BE: 5 WAYS TO ENJOY YOUR WEDDING DAY

Your wedding day is supposed to be the happiest day of your life, but some unexpected hitches might turn it into a disaster. So how do you ensure everything goes perfectly well as planned, and still manage to have a good time? It's simple.

Here are five easy ways to enjoy your wedding day:

1. Be organized from the get-go: You will be more at ease on the big day if you've nailed down the details well before then. As soon as you've started planning, set up a filing system to keep your contracts, receipts and notes together. A few weeks before the wedding, give your vendors any special instructions, as well as directions to the ceremony and/or reception sites. Then check in with them (many pros will call you) a few days before your affair to go over exactly what is expected.
2. Hire a planner: This is very important. At the very least you should enlist the help of a planner. This way, you can let your planner finalize and secure all vendors for you in the weeks leading up to your big day so you can relax and enjoy the fun stuff – like bridal showers, your bachelorette party, and the final dress fitting! Your planner should step in and take over communicating with your vendors, making your job as the bride easy. All you have to do is communicate with your planner, and she/he will take care of everything!
3. Eat and stay hydrated: Seems like a no brainer, right? Not eating and drinking water can ruin your wedding day. Plus, staying hydrated will help your skin glow in your pictures. And in case you don't know, staying hydrated will also hopefully prevent you from over-drinking and getting sloppy from too many mimosas in the morning!
4. Arrange for group photos at the reception: Have the DJ call over your friends, co-workers, and teammates for a few quick group photos. Your photographer may suggest doing these before the reception, but save the more formal, time-consuming shots for the wedding party and family only.
5. Switch off your phone(s): Nothing else is more important than your wedding on the big day. So, after taking a few new selfies, switch off your handsets or better still, hand them over to your wedding planner to take all calls on your behalf. The last thing you need on your special day is wedding guests calling repeatedly to ask for directions to the recdeption.
