SUPERMODEL DAVID GANDY BRAGS I'M THE TENT POLE IN M&S PROFIT AS HE CLAIMS VICTORY OVER DAVID BECKHAM

Male supermodel David Gandy has claimed victory over David Beckham in the battle of the undies – and even made the tongue-in-cheek claim that his underwear range has single-handedly saved Marks and Spencer. ‘I’m the best-selling thing they’ve got, I’m the tent pole in their profits, pardon the pun,’ Gandy, 34, revealed at the ShortList with M&S London Collection Men’s party at London’s Rosewood Hotel last week.‘They’re one of the store’s
best success stories. I think they’re out-selling Beckham’s, which is great for my ego. The size of sales matters, especially now M&S is suffering a little. My pants have saved the day.’
Beckham, 39, inset, models his own David Beckham Bodywear range for H&M. Gandy who is dating The Saturdays’ Mollie King, 27, added: ‘Some were offended by the amount of flesh on show, but it’s very hard to market underwear with clothes on.’ As Prince Harry’s ex, she’s had to get used to cameras and flashbulbs, but it seems Cressida Bonas – the new face of Mulberry – always has been photogenic.
Here she is, right, scoffing a Mr Whippy ice cream in an adorable childhood snap posted by her half-brother Jacobi Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe on Instagram last week.
