HE SACKED ME: MAN ARRESTED IN KANO FOR KILLING FORMER BOSS

A man has been arrested by the Kano state police for murdering his former boss, who sacked him a few years ago.
The murdered man, Alhaji Chief Ganiyu Akanbi Bello, is the Grand Patron of Yoruba community in Kano.

The 26-year-old suspect, Abubakar Abdulrahman said he killed the man, his former employer at Race Course, Nasarawa Local Government Area of the state.
Abdulrahman said, “I am not under influence of alcoholic drinks but principally, to steal money because I need it, but had no option than to kill my former boss, who dismissed me from service some years back. I killed him with a knife I met at the table of the late Bello’, a former and acting Oba Yoruba community in Kano State.
Kano state commissioner of Police, Mr Aderenle Shinaba, while speaking to journalists, confirmed the incident, saying, “You will recall that on 5 June, the command received information that Bello was murdered at Race course, Nassarawa GRA Kano.”
The commissioner disclosed that Abdulrahman was arrested at his residence in Badawa Quarters, Kano State.
