POLITICS HAS ALWAYS BEEN IN MY BLOOD – 9ICE OPENS UP

Gongo-Aso artiste, 9ice has informed anyone who cares to listen that he intends to switch profession – the entertainer is moving into politics. 9ice spoke to Saturday Sun on his relationship with Toni Payne and ID Cabassa, his music career and his transition into the politics of Oyo State.

Some months ago, a Faceboook friend shared the photo of a little boy he found begging on the streets of Victoria Island, Lagos. He was not mad, little Bassey. Having been certified a ‘witch’ back home in Calabar, he was driven to Lagos and disgorged on the streets, rejected by his parents and family. It had been difficult coming to terms with the callousness of Bassey’s family, until encounter was made of the story of a 22-year-old lady, recently. Her name is Ifeoma. I withhold her surname. No, not for her anonymity. She doesn’t appear to have a surname, technically speaking. A surname ought to denote family, kinship, and social identity. Applying a surname to an individual denied all these elements, is indeed a moral dilemma on its own.

One Mrs. Bethelyn Falade, 27, who resides on Church Street, Powerline, in the Ijaiye-Ojokoro area of Lagos, has been arrested and is currently facing charges for assaulting and torturing her housemaid, Chinecherem Sunday with hot water.Mrs Falade allegedly carried out the act as punishment for her stubbornness. Trouble began when Falade enquired of her missing laptop which the housemaid said was taken by her brother-in-law, identified simply as Lekan, while she was not around.

US MAN GETS 5 YEARS IN PRISON FOR RAPING DOG

James Guy Bull will spend five years picking soap in jail

James Guy Bull, a 62-year-old Florida, Unites States of America man, will spend the next 5 years in prison for consecutively raping his 8-months old dog named Coco.

The USA Today reports that in March this year, Bull's neighbours reported that the man had been seen several times fondling Coco’s private parts and on another occasion, another neighbour called the police reporting Bull actually making love to the dog in his apartment.

Some illegal train passengers, who were hanging on a moving train at the Ikeja Along bus stop, Lagos have attacked two journalists, causing the death of one of them.

The Defence authorities have confirmed the killing of the leader of Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau, during one of the four encounters with insurgents in Kodunga, Borno State between September 12 and 17, 2014.

The Director of Defence Information, Maj. Gen. Chris Olukolade, said during a news conference in Abuja on Wednesday, that the corpse of the insurgents’ leader was identified by the people of Kodunga.

He said that Shekau whose real name was Mohammed Bashir had used other names like Abacha Abdullahi Geidam and Damasack.
