He's bringing a whole new meaning to 'big hair.' Comedian Kevin Hart managed to keep a straight face as he posed shirtless in a white Afro wig of truly enormous proportions for the front cover of Friday's issue of The Hollywood Reporter. The 35-year-old was stumping for his new movie, The Wedding Ringer, which opens on Friday. The eye-catching photo shoot is the latest salvo in the hard-working star's promo battle to get as many people into theatres as possible. The 5ft 4in celebrity went topless
in the picture, revealing his pumped up pecs and bulging arm muscles along with several large tattoos. He sported a neatly trimmed beard and small moustache Under the headline, The Reign of Kevin Hart, he stared off the page as regally as possible.
And it seems he intends to live up to that designation as he told THR: 'I want to be a mogul, like Oprah or Jay Z or Tyler Perry.' Kevin obviously liked the front page as he posted it on Instagram with the caption: 'Wow this cover came out amazing....Holy bubble shit batman. Thank you to @thr #TheReignOfKevinHart #WeddingRinger #HittingTheatersOnFriday.' Another shot shows the star, minus the wig, decked out in black from head to toe standing on a sidewalk as a much taller assistant bends down in front of him.
The diminutive A-lister appeared to be signing his name on his forehead as he smiled at the camera. The magazine also included a hilarious picture of the star clutching three cute little puppies with a fourth sitting on his head. The THR article didn't say why he struck either of the zany poses.
But he shared the puppy shot on instagram with the hilarious message: '#DogsLoveMe #TheLittleOnePissedOnMyHead' along with another shoutout for The Wedding Ringer.
The comedy stars Josh Gad as shy groom Doug Harris, who, due to his lack of male friends, finds himself turning to a best-man-for-hire, played by Kevin, in order to impress his future in-laws.
No doubt he and Sony are hoping it will be as successful as his three No. 1 movies in 2014 - Ride Along, Think Like A Man Too and About Last Night.
