WHY JONATHAN IS NOT FIT FOR RE-ELECTION - KWANKWASO

Kano State Governor and presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, Rabiu Kwankwaso, on Sunday said President Goodluck Jonathan lacked the moral right to seek a second term. He said the president’s poor handling of Nigeria’s security, rising corruption and impunity nullified the President’s demand to be given a second term.
Kwankwaso said this during a fund raising dinner held in his honour in Abuja. The aspirant raised N1.5bn as donations to his campaign.

Organisers of the event said the donation came from his friends, family members, political associates, well wishers and many other Nigerians who believed in the aspirant’s ability to deliver.
Kwankwaso said, “I always feel terribly bad as a member of the extended family of the military in this country that today we cannot protect ourselves.
“I always remember those days when our military was in Liberia, Sierra Leone, Dafur and other parts of Africa. These were soldiers that did extremely well by even the world standard. Those days, we were not even talking of protecting ourselves. We were protecting others on this continent.”
He lamented that Nigeria, which once played host to Liberian refugees, now had thousands of its citizens as refugees in neighboring Chad, Cameroon and Niger Republic.
The aspirant declared that what Nigeria required was a strong leader, who had the political will to tackle Nigeria’s problems head on.
Earlier, an associate of the presidential aspirant , Alhaji Buba Galadima, had, in his goodwill message, appealed to those at the event to support a worthy cause by not only donating money but also ensuring that they vote for Kwankwaso.
