Tanzanian pop star, Naseed Abdul Juma otherwise known as Diamond Platnumz, has become the first Tanzanian pop star to cross the 1 million-view mark on YouTube. The music star, who continues to make waves across Africa, achieved the feat with his recently released video, ‘Ntampata Wapi’ which was shot and directed by Godfather Productions in South Africa. In recent weeks, Diamond Platnumz has been on a roller coaster ride, smiling home with 3 awards at the recently-held Channel O Music Video Awards and over the weekend, he also won the Future Awards prize in Entertainment at the 2014 Future Awards. At the moment, the video currently has 1,036, 200 views on YouTube and the excited pop star took to Instagram to appreciate his fans, writing: ‘I just want to say thanks to @i_am_godfather , all the Media, Teams and my Fans for the love and Support that you been giving me…1 Million + views within two weeks!….Awesome! Words cannot explain my Appreciation to you.’...
