Standing at 23 inches, she holds the Guinness World Record for the world's smallest woman. In a new interview Jyoti Amge, 20, tells Entertainment Tonight that she is tired of strangers treating her like a baby. ‘When they start interacting with me they ask me questions like I'm a baby or treat me like I'm a baby and hold me like I'm a baby, and that's what they do wrong, really,’ the American Horror Story star said through a Hindi translator.
Some of the awkward encounters she has dealt with include being picked up by strangers and handled like a doll.
Amge's height is a form of dwarfism called achondroplasia. The average female who has the same growth anomaly typically grows to 48 inches tall.
Named the world's shortest woman by Guinness World Records in 2011, she wasn't put off by the title of the series (American Horror Story: Freak Show), now in its fourth season.

'She didn't have any reservations because even though the name of the show is Freak Show nobody is a freak here,' her translator said. In her role as Ma Petite, she works alongside Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts and Angela Bassett in 1950s Jupiter, Florida as a performer in a freak attraction.
'In American Horror Story she has to act but it's not normal acting' her translator said.
'She has to get in cages and boxes and other things and pumpkins and that's the most fun part about working in this show and she doesn't know what's about to happen from episode to episode.'
Some of the other actors on the cast who have distinctive physical characteristics include Erika Ervin, known as Amazon Eve, who stands at 6 feet 8 inches and has been called the 'world's tallest model,' and Mat Fraser, who has a malformation of the limbs called phocomelia and performed in a stage show called Seal Boy.
