LUPITA NYONG'O COMES FOR LANCOME'S NEW PRODUCTS IN MAGENTA-HUED HALTER DRESS

The campaign photo shows the 31-year-old Oscar winner reclining in a sweet magenta-hued halter dress with rose petals in hand. Her lips are a robust shade of red—fitting, since the ad is for the beauty giant's newest collection: L'Absolu Rouge. The line features lipsticks in distinct, rose-inspired shades, along with skin-nourishing foundations.
A behind-the-scenes video of the L'Absolu Rouge shoot shows Nyong'o getting sultry in front of the camera. "Makeup, for me, is like the frame of an art piece. Wearing lipstick makes me feel well-dressed," Lupita shared, adding that her shade of choice from the collection is Rouge Carrousel (a bright, true red). And how did Nyong'o celebrate after a long day's work? With a post-shoot dance party, of course.  It's been an exciting week of reveals for Nyong'o: The actress was recently announced as Glamour's Woman of the Year, and covers their annual Women of the Year issue. In the mag, the star speaks out about the uneven beauty ideals that are perpetuated by the mainstream media and in popular culture.
"This is the message: that dark skin is unacceptable. I definitely wasn't hearing this from my immediate family—my mother never said anything to that effect—but the voices from the television are usually much louder
than the voices of your parents," Nyong'o told the magazine.
Nyong'o added that she was not raised to believe that beauty is only an external achievement.
"I think beauty is an expression of love," she said. "There's room in this world for beauty to be diverse."
