IRATE STUDENTS BRUTALIZE FEMALE TEACHER WITH MACHETES

A female teacher at Obosima Secondary Technical School, Ohaji-Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State, has been attacked with machetes by some male students of the college.
The teacher, Mrs. Mary-Ann Oguezuonu, who is a nursing mother, was attacked for reprimanding a JSS2 female student for wearing a skimpy uniform.

Oguezuonu had reportedly threatened the female student that the school authorities would send her away, if she wore the outfit to school again.

While she was chastising the student, a male SS1 student came into the classroom and confronted the teacher, saying she was embarrassing the female student. After insulting her, he took it a step further by grabbing Oguezuonu’s blouse.

The noise generated by the confrontation attracted other teachers to the class and the male student was dragged to the staff room where he was flogged.

According to a teacher: “While still cuddling her five-month old baby in the staff room, the irate male student mobilized others, suspected to be fellow cult members. They came into the staff room, armed with cutlasses and attacked the teacher.”

A relative of Oguezuonu, Francis Moore, confirmed the incident, stating that the matted had since been reported to the police.

“The matter has been reported to the police and some arrests have been made, but the main suspect, Chimaobi Precious Agu, is still at large at the time of this telephone interview,” he said.
