AFRIFF UNVEILS 10 BENEFICIARIES OF SCHOLARSHIP INITIATIVE.....

Organisers of the recently concluded Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) in Calabar, continue to make headlines as they recently unveiled the 10 winners of the special AFRIFF Film Scholarship for 2014. The students, who had shown a remarkable attitude and prospects during the training sessions held at the festival, were selected as part of the organizers’ promise to firmly invest in
securing the future of the film industry in Nigeria and Africa as a whole and winners were awarded full scholarships to study at a film institute in the United States of America next year. Selected from four different categories – Directing, Cinematography, Script-Writing and Acting – the 10 students are: Udoekpo Utibe Charles and Lekan Olarenwaju for Directing; Adeolu Adeniyi and Otobong Ekpeyong for Cinematography; Oluwabori Ijimakinde, Adelarin Awotedu and Lydia Gachuhi (Kenya) for Script-Writing, and finally, Emeka Darlington, Hauwa Allahburh and Daniel Ezekiel for Acting....
