In disturbing photos that have become viral, a Chinese woman who is accused with sleeping with another woman's husband has been stripped naked and beaten blue-black in a backlash against what is termed the country's booming 'concubine culture.'According to Daily Mail, the 38-year-old woman identified as Lin Yao Li, was ambushed by four women as she walked home in Puyang in eastern China's Henan Province.
As she made to pass, the assailants jumped on her, punched her to ground, tore off her clothes and kicked her in groin and breasts as she writhed screaming in agony on the pavement, while passers-by stood and enjoyed the show of shame because the beating was deemed 'affair of the heart,' since they believed that she didn't deserve help because had slept with another woman's husband.Lin Yao Li's attackers were the wife of the man she's accused of bedding plus three of her friends who joined her to beat up the alleged mistress.
Daily Mail pointed to the fact that this is not the first time such jungle justice has been meted out to perceived concubines who sleep with other people's husbands and the public see such attacks as justified, as long as the victim is seen as deserving in having caused a man to cheat on his partner.
According to Jun Feng, a local man who helped the woman after spotting her lying on the ground after her attackers left told local TV:This type of thing is becoming quite normal. Angry wives and girlfriends get their revenge on their cheating men by attacking the other woman ,People don't tend to get involved because they see it as being an argument of the heart.
The injured Lin was later taken to hospital where she was being treated for cuts, severe bruising and shock after begging someone to call an ambulance
