Mariah Carey is obviously struggling with her recent divorce withNick Cannon and its likely the diva lost her powerful voice and forgot her lyrics while performing at the first night of her tour Saturday in Japan because of her current state of mind.
From a recently released video recording Carey's voice gave out and she seemed to have been unstable on stage.
Carey kicked off her Elusive Chanteuse World Tour last night in Tokyo ... and based on the painful video, it's clear she couldn't hit the high notes she's famous for- perhaps just like Whitney Houston days before her death.
During the show, it's alleged Mariah forgot the lyrics but it's possible her microphone disappointed her - since the stand broke during her performance of "We Belong Together."
