Official news from Headies Awards camp is that Toke Makinwa and Bovi the comedian will be hosting the 2014 edition of The Headies Awards. Check out the official press statement from Headies, and of course the photos from the official photoshoot.
Themed “Feel the Passion…”, the 9th season of The Headies will hold on the 25th of October, 2014 and will feature some of the biggest performances and side attractions ever witnessed on the Headies stage.
Toke Makinwa and Bovi will join past hosts, Dr Sid, Tiwa Savage, eLDee, Rita Dominic, MI, Omawumi among other A-list celebrities who have graced the Headies stage as hosts.
CEO of Smooth Promotions, Mr Ayo Animashaun said: _“Our decision on this year’s selection of hosts for the Headies is undeniably a well deserved selection as Bovi and Toke Makinwa have both made a huge impact in the industry with their outstanding skills and talent. Guests are definitely in for a world class experience this year.”_
The Headies, formally known as the HipHopWorld awards has over the years recognized and celebrated notable achievements of buzzing artistes and entertainers in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
As the anticipation for the awards build up, nominees will be revealed later in the month as well as special performances for 2014. As with last year, the recently introduced category, The Best Alternative Song will be featured again this year.
