Popular Clothier, Clement Enajemo aka MUDI cruises a 1957 vintage ‘old school’ Mercedes Benz.
Our correspondent spotted the wonder in different functions in Lagos, first at the Encomium Black and White party in Lekki and recently at the DJ Jimmy Jatt 25th anniversary at Intercontinental Hotels, V.I Lagos.
Representing the designer’s style and taste for class, the car symbolizes ‘Prestige and Honour’, these he gets wherever he goes.
The 1957 Mercedes Benz 220S is worth over 5 Million Naira.
At an auction on Friday, August 15, 2014, this same model was sold for $187,000 (N35M) by RM Auctions Ltd, U.S.A.
The car: a 106 horsepower, 2,195 cc OHC six-cylinder engine with twin Solex carburetors, four-speed manual transmission, independent front suspension with coil springs, swing-axle rear suspension with coil springs, and four-wheel servo-assisted hydraulic drum brakes.
Recently at the an event at Victoria Island, guests quickly used the car as a backdrop for their pictures, while some artistes considered the possibility of using the car in their next music videos and the owner accepted, gladly....
