Five people have been arrested and detained by the Delta State Police Command for allegedly gang-raping a student of Delta State Polytechnic named Favour Orji.

in the afternoon of 30 August, 2014, one of the suspects, Ekperierie Weomazino, also a student of the Polytechnic, allegedly invited her to escort him to Owhelegbo junction in the town to collect his handset.
The victim added that on reaching the junction, the said Ekperierie Weomazino and the four others raped her and thereafter photographed her while she was naked.
Upon receiving the complains of the victim on 4 September, operatives of the Division swung into action and arrested the suspects.
