WIDOW LIVED WITH HUSBAND'S CORPSE FOR 9 MONTHS

Widow who lived with dead husband’s body for at least 9 months and failed to notify the authorities about his death now faces the charges.The woman, Ila Solomon, claimed that her spouse, Gerald Gavan, wanted to be eaten by birds after his death and she could not ignore her lover’s

dying wish. Now a devoted wife is facing charges after the body of Gerald, who was the Wold War II veteran, was discovered in their home in May 2014. She said: “I just think that somebody who did so much for the United States should have the death he wanted, that’s all. He just wanted to be eaten by the birds to be part of the cycle of life. Plan number two would be for me to take him outside or him to die outside so that the birds could eat him here, but that didn’t happen, instead he died right there.” Although the woman claimed that Gerald’s body was at the couple’s house for five days a coroner who thoroughly examined the corpse calculated around nine months of decomposition and the cause of death remains unknown.
