TRIBUNE.NG:I CAUGHT HIM IN BED WITH MY BEST FRIEND

He also turned our househelps into sex machine
A laboratory technician, Modupe Ajayi,  has told an Igando Customary Court, Lagos State, that she once caught her husband in bed with her best friend.

Forty-year-old Modupe was responding to Ajayi’s petition, urging the court to dissolve their  12-year-old  marriage for alleged threat to life and lack of respect from the respondent.
``My husband is  shameless. He slept with my best friend. He’s a womaniser, I caught him making love to my best friend in her house.
``I  stopped employing  house helps  because he has turned them into sex machine,” Modupe said.
According to her she stopped having sex with  her husband who is 50 years old since September  last year.
``I always had sexual infection some days after he made love to me.
``I stopped making love to him and I’ve stopped washing his clothes when I discovered that I always see and smell sperm on his boxers,” she said.
The mother of three said that days after their wedding, her husband abandoned her and went to stay with another woman.
“He lied to me that he wanted to travel to his village to see his father.
``I called his father when he did not show up for days, and  he  told me  he did not see my husband.
“I later found the telephone number of this  lady in his handset. I then called her to leave my husband alone.
``After the call, my husband rushed home, dragged me  out of the bathroom naked and  beat me for calling his girlfriend.
“It was my brother-in-law that ran out to cover my nakedness,” she said.
Modupe, therefore, urged the court to grant her husband’s petition, saying that she was no longer interested in the marriage.
The petitioner had  earlier told the court that Modupe had  always threatened his life with dangerous weapons.`
`Whenever we are fighting she would  stab me with a knife or any other sharp object.
“Modupe is a pompous, disrespectful and arrogant woman.
``She is so full of herself and does not have respect for me despite all I have done for her.
“I bought her four cars within our 12 years of marriage, yet she does not have regard for me.
``She does things without telling me. She even travelled out of  the country without my consent.
‘Modupe has made life miserable for  me; she’s fond of  fighting me  and raining curses on me,” he said..
The petitioner further  accused his wife of living an extravagant life and spending  lots of money on  jewelry.
“I can’t put up with her lifestyle any more. We now  live like  enemies in the house. We’ve stopped talking to each other since June last year,” he said.
He, therefore, begged the court to dissolve the union on the ground that he was no longer in love with his wife.
The court president, Mr R.I Adeyeri, adjourned the case till August  27.
