of Ibadan in Oyo State were invited to Asaba, Delta state on June 28 at about 9:35am by their friends, Daniel Fredrick, Nze Emeka and Kingsley Nwalibut, who they met on Facebook.The victims, on their arrival were robbed off their personal effects including bags containing their clothes by their friends who they were reportedly in the state to see. Although the Delta State Police Command have arrested three persons in Asaba for allegedly robbing two persons they lured from Oyo State to Asaba, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, PRO, Celestina Kalu, confirmed the incidence saying that all the stolen properties have recovered and the three men who lured them to Asaba have been arrested, adding that the suspects will be punished accordingly.
In a related development, the Delta state Police command’s PRO made it known to the general public that a reporter’s mail has been hacked by fraudsters. The reporter who is the Sapele Correspondent of Vanguard newspaper, Mr Godwin Oghre, has however warned the public to ignore any mail gotten from godwinoghre@mail.com, saying the fraudsters are using it to ask for favour and also to get personal information from unsuspecting people.
