The organization stated that the nation has shown capability in combating the disease
The World Health Organization has expressed confidence in Nigeria’s ability to stop the current Ebola outbreak.

According to the international body:
“The intensity of the search and monitoring effort raises cautious optimism that further spread of the virus in Nigeria can be stopped.
“The search for additional cases continues, as does the current high level of vigilance,”
This year’s outbreak, which the WHO described as the worst ever, has claimed over 1000 lives within the region.
Nigeria has had 12 confirmed cases of the disease and has recorded 5 deaths so far.
