NYSC CANCELS ORIENTATION IN 9 STATES

The National Youth Service Corps has announced that the Batch B, Stream 2 orientation will not hold in 9 states around the country.

The development was revealed via the NYSC’s website where it was stated that the second stream would be abridged due to the closure of primary and secondary schools around the country.
The announcement reads as follows:
“In consideration of the presidential pronouncement that all schools should not reopen at this time of national health emergency, the abridged version of the 2014 Batch 'B' orientation course is scheduled to commence from 1st to 8th September, 2014.”
 “Prospective corps members deployed to the affected states scheduled for the exercise are to report at the designated orientation camps reflected in their Call-Up Letters for registration.”
“Prospective Corps members are to equally note that the registration process will not take more than one hour. Thereafter, they are to collect their kits and proceed immediately to their states of deployment or relocation as the case may be for the completion of the remaining formalities.”
The affected states are Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Jigawa, Kano, Lagos Osun, Yobe.
