A 30-year-old man has been jailed for 17 years for keeping a young woman as his sex slave for four months.

Abdul Hanif was accused of raping beating and keeping a 26-year-old woman as his prisoner. The woman was forced to cook, clean and provise sexual services for Hanif until several months of suffering she managed to call her friend who reported the matter to the police.
Police officers went to the flat, battered down the door and the woman was finally freed last year. Later it was discovered that the young woman was a virgin before Hanif raped her, She had been studying accountancy in London, on a student visa from Bangladesh.
Hanif first met his victim when she was working in a sandwich shop in London. He took her number and later lured her to a “nice new home”. Initially they slept in his car before Hanif kept her at friends’ homes and then rented a flat, took her phone and bank card and forced her to have sex every day.
The woman said Hanif wanted to loan her out to other men for money to pay off his gambling debts, when she refused, he tore the phone charger from the socket and strangled her, leaving marks on her throat.
Hanif was found guilty of three rape charges and one of causing actual bodily harm before he was sentenced to nearly two decades behind bars at Bradford Crown Court this morning. However, he showed no remorse or emotion as he was sentenced
