He has been perfectly open about taking advantage of the spotlight that being Khloe Kardashian's boyfriend brings him.
But even if her fans are outraged by French Montana's comments, it seems that Khloe couldn't care less.
In a somewhat cryptic tweet on Sunday she wrote: 'It's amusing to me that Y'all think I don't see it. I was the first one to see it. I just don't care.'
The remark comes following an interview with Billboard magazine published last week, in which the 29-year-old East Coast rapper acknowledged the extra attention his new girlfriend was bringing him.
'I want to capitalize on it,' he admitted. 'I’ll get a fan base from everywhere. I just hope I’ll be able to connect with everything that’s going on.'
The Moroccan American performer has an album coming out later this year and Khloe has already made a cameo appearance in the video for his single Don't Panic.
French recently appeared on Keeping Up With The Kardashians where he got to meet Khloe’s even more famous sister Kim for the first time.
In June, US Weekly reported that the reality TV clan had their own concerns about French's motivation.
A source told the magazine that both Kim and stepfather Bruce Jenner were wary of him.
'[They] are very skeptical of him,' said the insider. 'They think he's using Khloe for fame.'
The source added: 'Being with Khloe means everyone knows who French is now so he's getting a lot out of it.'
