CANADA TO SEND 1000 DOSES OF EXPERIMENTAL VACCINES AFRICA

 
The Canadian government is set to contribute its quota to the fight against the deadly diseaseFollowing the World Health Organization (WHO) approval of experimental Ebola vaccines, Canada has announced plans to send a few doses of its own treatment to Africa.

The Canadian Health Minister, Rona Ambrose has said that she offered the vaccine to the Director General of the WHO, Dr. Margaret Chan.
The WHO said yesterday that it was ethical to offer untested drugs to people infected by the virus.
Another experimental drug, ZMapp, which was used in treating 2 American missionaries, has been sent to Liberia for use.
This year's outbreak, which is the largest so far, has claimed1013 lives mostly from Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
