APC CONDEMNS RIHABU'S MOVE TO PDP

The former EFCC chairman has abandoned the APC and joined the PDP
The defection of the former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nuhu Ribadu from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been met with disappointment by the former.

Ribadu’s move to the ruling party was said to be linked to an intention to run for Governor of Adamawa, a seat that was recently made vacant due to the impeachment of the previous occupant, Murtala Nyako.
The National Chairman of the APC, John Odigie-Oyegun, said:
“It makes me sad because it is very terrible thing. It is a confirmation of the level to which our society has degenerated,”
“For a man of that calibre to fall into that trap because of governorship position is disappointing. There is no problem; we wish him luck.”
“For the APC, there is no problem. People go, people come, but for this nation, it is a very sad commentary. It makes you unhappy “
Ribadu contested the 2011 presidential elections on the platform of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria, which merged with other parties to become the APC.
