AUTHORITY IN THE NAME OF JESUS - KENNETH E. HAGIN

There is authority in the Name of Jesus. When Jesus appeared to John on the isle of Patmos, He said, “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore .. . and have the keys of hell and of death” (Rev. 1:18). The one who has the key is the authorized one. Jesus is saying here, “I am the authorized one.” He has authority.

CAST OUT DEVILS – KENNETH E. HAGIN

By Rev. Kenneth E. Hagin “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils” (Mark 16:17). The very first sign Jesus said would follow any and every believer was: “In my name shall they cast out devils.” Jesus wasn’t talking necessarily about casting the devil out of people who are demon-possessed. Jesus was simply saying that in His Name believers would have authority over the devil. They would break the power of the devil over their own lives and the lives of their loved ones.

And God is only moved into action by faith.

HOW TO HAVE POWER OVER THE DEVIL – A. A. ALLEN

THE INTERGRITY OF THE WORD – KENYON

Many times our theologians have been our enemies. They have made a philosophy out of the truth; turned the Word into dogma and creed when it should have been as though the Master were here speaking to us. The Word should speak to us as He would have if He were here. When we pick up the Bible it would be good to remember that it is the Book with God in it; Life in it; a God-indwelt book.

WHEN SHOULD MEN PRAY, “IF IT BE THY WILL?” – FINIS DAKE

The following is a note from The Dake Annotated Reference Bible:It is sinful to pray, “If it be thy will” concerning anything that God has promised to men.  This kind of praying is a prayer of unbelief and it will never be answered.  It does not take God at His Word.  It does not believe that God means what He says.  It calls Him into question concerning the things He has many times assured all men that they can have if they will only have faith.

FAITH MUST BE PUT INTO ACTION FOR IT TO COME ALIVE

Faith must be followed with actions that are consistent with what is believed. Faith is the noun form and believe is the verb form of the same Greek word. Faith is the ability to believe, but that ability must be used and acted upon for faith to come alive and work. Believing is the action side of faith – believing is ‘acting in faith.’ Just having faith is not enough. Having the ability to believe is not enough. One must act on that ability by acting consistent with what is believed. James tells us that faith without corresponding actions is lifeless and dead.

THE PRAYER OF CONSECRATION VS THE PRAYER OF FAITH – KENNETH E. HAGIN

Some people think you ought to end every prayer with the phrase, “If it be Your will.” When you question them about it, they’ll say that Jesus prayed that way. But He didn’t pray this way every time He prayed. He just prayed that way on one occasion and for one kind of prayer (Luke 22:42). For example, when Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, Jesus didn’t stand at Lazarus’ tomb and say, “Lord, if it be Your will, raise up Lazarus.”

ABRAHAM: NATURAL HOPE VERSES GOD'S PROMISED HOPE

Just because you’re in a hopeless situation does not mean there is no hope. Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” Romans 4:18 NIV

When there was nothing left to hope for, Abraham still hoped and believed. As a result, he became a father of many nations, as he had been told: “That is how many descendants you will have.” Romans 4:18 God’s Word

SPEAKING TO THE FIG TREE AND TO THE MOUNTAIN

Jesus spoke to a fig tree. He then told His disciples that they could speak to the mountain they were standing on. Just as the fig tree obeyed Him the mountain would obey them.For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

MAKING MIRACLES HAPPEN IN YOUR LIFE

But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me. A strong conviction of the leading of the Holy Spirit has prompted me to share these supernatural blessings.
