Troops from Niger and Chad have recaptured two communities in Borno State from Boko Haram insurgents, military sources say. The soldiers were also said to have killed 300 insurgents in the battle to reclaim Malam Fatouri and Damasak on Monday, March 9. 10 Chadian soldiers were reportedly killed in the battle while 30 Nigerien and Chadian soldiers were left injured.
