The X Factor stars Simon Cowell and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini are set to go head-to-head for a top prize at the National Television Awards later this month. The pair will battle it out for the TV Judge honour alongside Simon's fellow Britain's Got Talent panellist David Walliams and Great British Bake Off legend Mary Berry. The nod for Cheryl comes after she returned to the ITV talent after four years.
In the Drama category, Downton Abbey will fight it out alongside Sherlock, Doctor Who and Cilla.
Sherlock's Benedict Cumberbatch is up for Drama Performance, as is Downton's Dame Maggie Smith, Sheridan Smith for her portrayal of Cilla Black in the mini-series and Sarah Lancashire for acclaimed show Happy Valley.eality hit Geordie Shore has picked up its first nomination at the NTAs. It will compete in the Multichannel category against Celebrity Juice, Game Of Thrones and The Walking Dead.
