An explosion which occurred in Bauchi on Monday, December 22, has claimed 15 lives, according to reports. Police in the state have also said that 25 people were injured in the blast which occurred at about 5:30 pm near a police post in the Bauchi Central Market.
A witness told Sahara Reporters that many of the victims were badly burned and had been taken to the Trauma Center of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH) for treatment.
The Bauchi blast occurred just hours after a bomb went off at the Dukku Motor Park in Gombe State killing about 20 people.
