A 20-year-old British student, Nasser Muthana, is being suspected of being a member of the Islamic State (ISIS) execution squad that killed 17 hostages in a video posted on YouTube on Sunday. Muthana, a medical student from Cardiff, was identified by his  57-year-old father, Ahmed Muthana, among the 16 jihadists filmed beheading 17 Syrian soldiers, Daily Mail reports.
"I cannot be certain but it looks like my son. He must fear Allah now for killing people," Muthana senior reportedly said. "How can he expect to face Allah if he is killing human beings?" Asked if he would take back his son after his actions, he gave an emphatic 'No.' "No, he must be mentally ill – either that or there is something else not right."
ISIS 'executioner' and leader of the squad, Jihadi John, also a Briton,  warned Prime Minister James Cameron in the video which also showed the body of 26-year-old American aid worker, Peter Kassig.
The sickening YouTube video was later taken down.
