The 2014 BET Hip Hop Awards aired Tuesday night, showing Drake, DJ Mustard and Kendrick Lamar take home some of the annual event's highest honors.
Snoop Dogg hosted the night, which was originally filmed Sept. 20 at Atlanta’s Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center. Pioneering rapper, beat boxer and producer Doug E. Fresh was this year’s recipient of the I Am Hip Hop Icon Award.
Drake led this year's nominee parade with eight nominations, including album of the year, lyricist of the year, MVP of the year and people’s champ award, taking home trophies for Album of the Year for his Nothing Was the Same and Best Hip Hop Video for the track "Worst Behavior," which was directed by Video Director of the Year-winner Hype Williams.
