In a gruesome case of murder, a man has been jailed for macheting his friend to death. The 24-year-old man, Adedeji Adeniyi, was arraigned before a Chief Magistrates’ Court, sitting in Abeokuta, on Tuesday, 21 October on a charge of murder. Adeniyi was accused of murdering his 25-year-old friend, Akeem Agbadaowo.The police prosecutor, Inspector Sunday Eigbejiale told the court that the accused committed the offence on 3 May at about 9.50 p.m. at Mokola area of Abeokuta, Ogun state.
He stated that the Adeniyi killed Agbadaowo, by attacking him with a machete and a broken bottle during a disagreement.The Chief Magistrate, Anthony Araba, ruled that the accused be kept behind bars pending advice from the State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
Araba subsequently adjourned the case till 9 January.
