CELEBRITIES WHO BELIEVE AGE DIFFERENCE DOES NOT MATTER IN RELATIONSHIP! DO YOU AGREE WITH THEM?

Nigerian women are openly dating and even marrying their young lovers, not caring what the world thinks; and why should they? We must accept love wherever it finds us, right? Remember the saying,”Age is nothing but a Number” and yes,it applies to relationships too. Let’s take a peep into the private lives of our very own Nigerian celebrities with daring age gaps between them and their spouses.    

TOYIN LAWANI & TRIGGA KESS

Topping the list is Toyin Lawani and fiancee,Triggakess.It sounded like something out of Hollywood when 31-year-old Nigerian celebrity stylist and CEO of Tiannah Styling, Toyin Lawani announced she was getting engaged to her 21-year-old Fiance, Trigakess.This got a lot of people talking especially because of the huge age difference between them.Ten years is no joke. But Toyin Lawani in an interview said her relationship with  him is true love.The couple welcomed their first child together,a baby boy on January 1st 2014. Lawani has a daughter from a previous relationship.

DEOLA AYENI &DARE ART-ALADE

Talented Nigerian singer Darey Art Alade and his beloved wife walked down the aisle in 2007, and they haven’t looked back ever since.Deola is 8 years older than Darey and they’ve been married with two kids. Dare once responded thus in an interview about their age gap:Do you not feel any pressure of any sort being married to somebody older than you are? No pressures at all! Every body at sometime finds what works for him or her. I am perfectly happy with my marriage to my wife and I absolutely have no problems or pressures of any sort.   

KAFFY AND JOSEPH AMEH

Next on the list is Kaffy and Joseph Ameh. Not much was known about Kaffy’s husband’s  age until sometime last year when social media went viral with the news that he was just 25 years old.

According to his international passport, Joseph ‘Papy J’ Ameh  was born on May 23, 1988.Kaffy is believed to be born in the early 80s,reportedly 1980, that makes her over 8 years older than him.

   One of the aides of the dance queen,  responded the critics who were bashing the couple about their age differences by saying 

  “What is the big deal about age that the social media are carrying about?

 Is Dare Art-Alade not younger than his wife? Kaffy and Jo love each other so much, that all that matter not age. This can’t pull a string from their hair; so why making a mountain out of a mole hill,” her aide fired. 

  They got married in 2012 and are blessed with a boy Kamal Ameh and a girl Eliana who was born early this year.

LOLA & PETER OKOYE

Lastly is Peter Okoye of P-Square musical duo and Lola Omotayo.Lola is said to be about six years older than Peter. Peter and his twin brother Paul were born on the 18th of November 1981. Although no one is saying anything concerning Lola’s precise date of birth, of course you know how it is with women and their age.  In an earlier interview years back, Lola addressed the age gap between them thus: “Like I said, Peter is an old soul and he always tells me that I’m like a 23-year-old. Age is just a number. Right now, you can see it around the world. Demi Moore, Usher and some known people. Even in Nigeria here, they are dating people far older than their age. So, we shouldn’t base it on the age factor. He doesn’t make me feel like he’s younger than me.”  They both have two children,a boy and a girl.
