BOKO HARAM KILLS 6 NIGERIANS FLEEING TO CHAD

Families from Gwoza, Borno State, displaced by the violence and unrest caused by the insurgency, are pictured at a refugee camp in Mararaba Madagali, Adamawa State
Suspected Boko Haram members on Monday, August 4, reportedly trailed Nigerians who were fleeing to a village in Chad and killed six who were taking refuge there.

Sources who spoke to Daily Trust said the Boko Haram assailants who came from Kirenowa, a border town in Marte Local Government Area of Borno State, stormed Dubuwa village in Chad, killing six Nigerians.
This is coming about two weeks after the insurgents attacked Kirenowa, killing some residents and burning public and private houses.
After the attack, most of the local had fled to Chad to seek refuge.
A farmer from Kirenowa, Mohammed Yusuf said, "After the attack on our village two weeks ago, many crossed over to Chad, some to Cameroon and many others to other places in northern Borno. Sadly, the attackers pursued those in Kirenowa and succeeded in killing six people."
Also lending voice to the issue, Abba Kolomi, a fisherman said, "From all indications, the insurgents are fully back in Marte and other local government areas along the shores of the Lake Chad. We pray something urgent would be done so that we would not have a repeat of what happened last year when the Boko Haram fighters hoisted their flags in our villages and indoctrinated our children."
