CURVY CLOSET: THE TOP PLUS SIZE MODELS

It used to be that there were only a handful of recognizable plus size models, but the fashion tides have recently taken a curvier turn.

These days, there are fabulous curvy models of all shapes and varying sizes appearing on major fashion magazines and in campaigns for top designers.

To celebrate the general fabulousness of curvy women, we’ve decided to count down the top plus size models working today. In no particular order, check out a few of our favorites!

Denise Bidot

Bidot is known mostly for her modeling career, but she’s also a reality star, having appeared on NUVO TV’s “Curvy Girls,” which famously documented her brief romance with male supermodel Tyson Beckford. She’s also an actress and television personality whose certainly going to be one to watch.

Philomena Kwao

Another beautiful British import, Kwao’s stunning good looks have appeared in campaigns for Eloquii, Alloy Apparel, Ashley Stewart and most recently Monif C. One of the industry’s rising stars, Kwao is one to watch in the years to come.

Georgia Pratt

Curvy beauty Geo Pratt’s star has been on the rise for the last few years. With her sultry good looks and fabulous figure, she’s quickly becoming one of the industry’s hottest superstars.

Marquita Pring

For the past few years, Pring has been one of the industry’s “It-girls,” working around the world for nearly every major retailer. The beauty also famously appeared in a spread for Italian Vogue with fellow models Tara Lynn, Candice Huffine and Robyn Lawley in 2011.

Candice Huffine

The stunning model has consistently appeared in most of the major plus size fashion campaigns in the last few years, including that famous Italian Vogue cover in 2011. She’s also frequently seen on red carpets and interviewed by media about the state of the plus size fashion industry, giving interviews to Vogue, Huffington Post and Refinery 29 to name a few.

Fluvia Lacerda

Dubbed “the plus size Gisele Bundchen,” Lacerda has carved out a distinct and successful path all her own. Refusing to conform to any restrictions, the size 16/18 beauty has traveled the world and represented the plus size woman in campaigns for international and US retailers alike.

Robyn Lawley

Arguably the most well-known plus size model of the day, the stunning Australian model has broken barriers across multiple genres. She was the first plus size model ever to appear in a Ralph Lauren campaign and has appeared on top fashion magazine covers, including Cosmo, Elle and, perhaps most famously, Vogue. She’s also a designer, a DJ, a photographer and, if that wasn’t enough to keep her busy, runs a cooking blog which is being turned into a book

Nicole LeBris

The blonde bombshell has been working for most of the major American retailers for years, including Lane Bryant

, Fruit of the Loom, Macy’s and more.

Georgina Burke

The blonde Australian beauty is taking the North American market by storm, having recently landed a major campaign deal with retailer Torrid. She’s also worked for Addition Elle and Nordstrom.

Laura Wells

Another beauty from “Down Under,” Australian model Laura Wells is not only beautiful, but she’s also extremely intelligent. In fact, she’s an environmental scientist who dedicates any time she has off to campaigning to save the environment, especially our beaches and oceans. Beauty and brains

Tara Lynn

The stunning curvy model has broken quite a few significant barriers, appearing on the cover of French Elle twice, Vogue magazine and more.

Toccara Jones

Perhaps one of the first well-known plus size models, Jones first came on the scene after appearing on “America’s Next Top Model.” She’s since gone on to be a television and fashion personality. And while she’s slimmed down quite a bit, the curvy beauty still always supports her plus size sisters and continues to look fabulous doing it.
